Sayers Creek was a two and a half hour show performed by the Collective for Chris’s MA in music. The show told the story of England and its folk music over a 1000 years of history. The story is told from the perspective of ‘ordinary people’. In other words it is a bottom up version of our history and not the version commonly taught in our schools.
The show consisted of contemporary accounts narrated by Chris and intertwined with traditional folk songs. The performance was backed with a film and had the added ‘attraction’ of using period aromas in the auditorium to create a fully immersive experience for the audience.
